smartripper slow after reinstall

I have a 16x dvd rom i used to be able to rip at about 6-8 but i just reinstalled everything and now i'm getting a shitty ass 2.4 as a max!! what the hell happened???? any help would be nice thanks

DMA enabled?
VIA Driver installed (only if you are using a board with via-chipset)?

If you answer all this questions with yes, you will have a problem :rolleyes:
