vobsub (creating, not playing) crashes on dual athlon tiger MP

I don't know why this is, but for some reason on my dual Athlon system, vobsub crashes with a rundll error when I'm trying to create subtitles.

Does anyone have any idea why/how I can debug/try to fix this
