Is this possible? 448 kbps seems very high for an ac3 stereo track, but since ac3 is lossless, I am hesitent to reencode it to another lossy format. Is this possible?

AC3 is lossy, not lossless. 448 kbps is quite high for a stereo track indeed. What is it? Music?

Uh, I meant Ac3 ISN't lossless, typo on my part.
And it is an r2 dvd... I was surprised when there was such a high bitrate for the audio track as well...

Well, it depends whether converting to ogg would be transparent. Try different bitrates to see yourself.
