I am trying to author a blu-ray movie.
I have 2 files in my project, 1 video file and 1 audio file, and i want to add subtitles.
So in data tree window i right click and select import, then i select the xml file and it takes about 5 minutes to complete the procedure of "creating pg data structure".
At the end i get the result "BDNimport completed" but i have no subtitle file in the data tree window, only the movie file and the audio file.
Am i doing something wrong?

hi there
as you know scenarist is f%^&^%$ing difficult.
But if you imported a xml file as in bdn you now have a PG#1 somewhere in your data tree if so go to your stream tree double klik on your movie in playitem#1 then you should see the playlist editor now klik on your data tree and drag your PG#1 to the PG stream on your right.
maybe you can tell me how you created the subs i am still in search of good software as for subtitle workshop still won`t let me resize the lettertype.
cheers hope this was helpfull

I have created the sub, with the same software(subtitle workshop).
The problem is that, i don't have any pg#1 item in data tree window, only the video file and audio file.
The xml and the png files was generated perfect.
The result i get is:
Warning : InTC 01:34:48:24 was adjusted to 01:34:48:23.
Warning : OutTC 01:41:45:24 was adjusted to 01:41:45:23.
Warning : InTC 01:54:25:24 was adjusted to 01:54:25:23.
Info : BDNImport completed.

thats weird but workshop does not export nice subs so i am waiting on another beta release. As for your problem, in my case it always creates a pg#1 and imports the subpictures
very strange what kind of blu ray are you creating ? custom ntsc or pal or high def??? what frame rate 29.97 ?
if ntsc 29.97 i know you have to change the xml file header it says 29.977 and 480p instead of 480i
cheers

I am creating a high def. blu-ray 1920x1080p and i have tried both formats pal and ntsc.
The xml file for ntsc 1080p:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<BDN Version="0.93" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="BD-03-006-0093b BDN File Format.xsd">
<Description>
<Name Title="URUWorks" Content=""/>
<Language Code="eng"/>
<Format VideoFormat="1080p" FrameRate="29.997" DropFrame="False"/>
<Events Type="Graphic" FirstEventInTC="00:00:54:30" LastEventOutTC="01:56:02:28" NumberofEvents="1068"/>
</Description>
<Events>
<Event InTC="00:00:54:30" OutTC="00:00:58:09" Forced="False">
<Graphic Width="1920" Height="1080" X="0" Y="0">ghost30001.png</Graphic>..................
In subtitle workshop, i choose: HD 1080 A, PNG 8 bit, drop frame, 23.976 or 29.97.
I don't know about, the drop frame and non drop frame.
Do you know the difference?
I have changed the fps 29,997 to 29,97 but nothing.
