Hi!

ATM I make my Homebrew HD-DVD9 with
self encoded h264 + 2x AC3 + 2x Subtitles -> Scenarist SCA -> burn ISO with ImgBurn on DVD9.

This works really fine on all HD-DVD players.

Now I want to try with BD.

First of all, which BD-Format (AVCHD, BDMV, BDAV) does support my necessary features (Subs really important)

Second, I understand there are some problems with compability depending on the used player(or PS3)/media(DVD9 or BluRay)/format(eg. BDMV). So is there a way that a created disc plays in all (or mostly) players?

I hope somebody can help me.

I prefer DVD9 since its sufficient enough and much more cheaper, but BD-R will also be no problem.

Greetings

Don't know about subtitles, but h264+ac3 (DVD+R/RW/R DL with BDMV) works perfectly in all players that was available to me: Sony BDP-S1/BDP-S300, Pio BDP-LX70a, Sams BD-P1400.
Here (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=12369935&postcount=753) is a tip what you need to do in scenarisrt project-file before muxing.

Do those players support .m2ts files like PS3?

Don't know but i think they not. I will test this in friday.
By the way... Today i tested vc1+ac3+dts-in-BDMV-DVD+RW (made with tsmuxer>tsremux) with pio bdp-lx70... you know what? its playable, but without sound as always. it strange but pio report that disc is AVCHD.

Is your AC3 transcoded or untouched? (HD DVD/BluRay)

I use transcoded AC3 as Sound.

TSRemux does not support Subs, or?

And it does not play on PS3 without stuttering AFAIK.
