how can i normalise the audio?

You are using already OTA: HybrydGain

Other method is use OTA: PreGain

and also, if source is ac3, you can use the parameter for the azid decoder: -maximize

could you give me a VERY brief descriptioin of those 3 options so i know the differences so i can choose the correct option.

azid( -maximize ): The ac3 decoder search the max peak and apply the max gain without overflow -> the output have a max peak at 100%

ota( PreGain ): same than before but now the process was made after the decoder and before the encoder. Then is valid for any kind of input.

ota( HybridGain ): Part of gain is applied before the encoder (to avoid overflow) and part is applied after the encoder. Not all formats accept gain after encoded but work with mp3. BTW, seems the global volume result between 85-90%
