how do I write an Avisynth script for Lancoz4?

How and is it possible to write an Avisynth script to encode both ways from DVD to DivX and from XviD to DivX? I was looking to use the Lancoz4 cause it's slow and I heard it's much high quality. I was looking to keep the resolution the same a DVD, 720x480 for NTSC and 720x576 for PAL. Thank you for anything help.

Lanczos4Resize(x, y) or LanczosResize(x, y, taps=4)

But if don't want to change resolution then a resizer won't do anything.

Or you could try Spline.
