Hi,

The problem is that I get no sound when I play DVDs with 24 bit PCM streams in MPC Homecinema, in other players like GOM, KMplayer or WMP I get sound but is awful (very noisy, like static). The only player that can play this DVD without problems is WinDVD.

The strange thing is that if I demux the PCM stream it play fine in any player (tested on MPC, GOM, KMplayer & foobar)

The DVD is original, the latest DVD of BT "This binary universe".

I take a sample using DVD Shrink containing all the streams (video + audio PCM & DTS) in case anyone want to check it.

Sample of the DVD (iso format to mount on a virtual drive, to extract the DVD content use winrar)

Audio streams from this sample demuxed (PCM 24bits & DTS)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Check the audio decoder being used for playback. All commercial decoders will work without any problem.

With KMP, you should change the audio decoder to use in preferences.

- Call "External Decoder Search" and Scan the decoder registered in system.
- Select the decoder to use and configure it.

Thanx for reply sheppaul, I tried with setting the "intervideo audio decoder" (Windvd decoder) to decode AC3, DTS & LPCM audio in KMplayer but didn't work, the problem persist.
This is how I've configured KMplayer:
