I just did reinstall Windows XP and set up MeGui, now when I try to open an MKV in the script creator - it tells me: directshowsource: timeout waiting for graph to start.

What have I forgotten?

Ive tried the Klite Codec pack as well as the latest CCCP. Im assuming its a filter/codec issue since MKV files wont play at all.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Is this an .mkv made by eac3to?
Also you probably want to clean up you situation there with both k-lite and cccp.

Yes, the MKV was made by eac3to. Could you offer some suggestions as to how to clean up my mess? LOL

Other MKVs will play.

Just redo the entire process with the new version of eac3to (v2.18) that writes time stamps into the .mkv header and all will be well.

As to the mess you should uninstall both cccp and k-lite and then ONLY reinstall cccp. That combination sounds like a playback nightmare. There is a brand new stable installment of cccp as of yesterday and it uses the latest Haali splitter which improves eac3to's functionality.
