I've been doing HD-DVD to MP4 rips using two passes in MeGui.
Today I did a 1 pass encode for testing purposes, which took around 3 hours.
The quality is almost no different from the two pass encode and plays fine on my 360.
Is the 2nd pass needed? It seems like it always takes 12-15 hours.
Of course using this method, you lose 5.1 DD but I'm OK with that. Would I get similar results using WME and keeping the 5.1?
