Hi.These are the details on my card:hauppauge ntsc/ntsc-j 26552 rev c268 2004.I,m on windows 2000 professional.
I emailed hauppauge for help on installing, and followed their instructions. They instructed me to install THE WINTV-PVR-150
with 3.4D1 version installation. The last step is where the problem occurs. When i try to run hcwdriverinstall.exe,i get the message:"hcwdriverinstall.exe is not a valid win32 application"
Just so its known, the card is connected to my pci slot, and the "found new hardware" message appears every time on bootup, and i ignore it.
Does anyone know what will work for this?

If the "hcwdriverinstall.exe" doesn't work (works okay here though) you can still install the drivers manually! Right-click your TV Card in the Device Manager and choose "Update drivers". Then use the "Adavced" mode and install the drivers from the "Drivers" folder, which is a sub-folder of the folder where the "hcwdriverinstall.exe" is located. If you see some "Windows Logo" warning, just click the "Continue Anyway" button!
But with the error message you describe, I'd assume your download is broken. Best would be to re-download the drivers from Hauppauge site...
You can also give those drivers a try, they are newer than the "official" ones:

Last but not least: Run "hcwclear.exe" and reboot before you do anything else (not required if this is the first time you install Hauppauge drivers).

Hi lord. Thanks for your response, and i appreciate it.Unfortunately after i redownloaded the cd341,hcwdriverinstall.exe had the same message.i also ran hwclear, and retried everything, and tried to install the drivers manually,as you suggested. It looked like it installed ,but when it came time to run wintv a dynamic link or dlll error message appeared.Do you know of another link to the cd341 file?It seems to look like a good file.I was also wondering if microsoft netmeeting is needed for the capture card to work?I forgot where i read that, think it was google.I,ve been at this for a while, and am getting that numbing feeling.
Thanks though!

No, you definitely do not need M$ NetMeeting ;)
I'd download the drivers from official Hauppauge site:
http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software/install_cd/hauppauge_cd_3.4d1.zip
Alternative drivers are available here:
ftp://ftp.shspvr.com/download/hybrid_cd/HCW4_1_26009PPH/
And make sure you first install the drivers (manually or not) and then run SETUP.EXE from the directory where you unzipped the downloaded driver/install CD. Let the setup run through, it will install a number of applications and stuff. Just installing the "WinTV2000" application isn't sufficient...
