I encode my Movies for the Ipod Touch at 480x272 (or Less) 960kbps /160kbps audio, using Handbrade. They will not play on the psp unless I reencode the File. Probably because the Ipod file is using H264 1.3 profile and I think the PSP is looking for a Main Profile.
Has anyone come up with a method to get the same encode to play on both devices?

I have no trouble playing 320x240 384kbps iPod encodes on the PSP (in ms0:/VIDEO/ folder). Problems I can think of from the top of my head: not sure if 480x272 is allowed with Level 1.3; old specs allowed video bitrates up to 768kbps then a jump to 1500kbps, bitrates in between were not supported.

Running custom firmware 3.40* v3 and 3.71 M33-4. If you could post some short clips (5 minutes or less) of problematic files, I could test playback on various firmware.
