View Full Version : RunbbMPEG is crashing

Linux

RunbbMPEG crashes every time after the mux is done.
The resulting mpg file is ok but DVD2SVCD is waiting for RunbbMPEG to finish. That does not happen before somebody removes the error message. When DVD2SVCD receives the return code it believe that the mux went wrong and stops.

I am running Windows 2000 on an Athlon processor.

Would it be possible to get the source for RunbbMPEG.
That way I could try to find the error myself since it looks like nobody else have this problem.

if the problem is only experienced by you then its probably not a prob with runbbmpeg but a difference in configuration on your machine. you're not trying to run this in xwindows are you? :)

I used the name only because i like unix and linux in special. Of course I run everything in windows. As I pointed out I run Windows 2000 on an Atlon.

My problem started with DVD2SVCD 1.0.5 Build 3.
I have allways uninstalled the old program before installing the new.
If I reinstall DVD2SVCD 1.0.5 Build 2 everything is working great.
If I start RunbbMPEG.exe separatly it reads its ini file and starts to mux the last file correctly and when bbMPEG is done RunbbMPEG is crashing.

The only way to get on with the process is to change the stage variable in DVD2SVCD's ini file from 48 to 50 and use the Crash Recovery to continue. Without the change Crash Recovery beleave that the mux is wrong and try to mux again with another crash.

The only reason for RunbbMPEG from start was to make the process MORE stable when no key-symbol sending was needed.

I see forward for a bugfix or the removing of the program alltogether or the source so I can fix it myself.

If this was Linux the source-code would be the way to distribute the program from the first place.
