Hey guys! I'm having some awful codec problems and can't seem to solve them no matter how many codec packs I download.

VideoInspector says I'm missing two codecs:

Audio Codec:
MPEG Audio 1, 2, 2.5
http://www.codecsdb.com/?page=codecinfo&type=audio&code=A_MPEG/L3

and

Video Codec:
MPEG 4 ISO ADVANCED
http://www.codecsdb.com/?page=codecinfo&type=video&code=V_MPEG4/ISO/AVC

Problem is I can't download them anywhere!!! Please help me out guys and sorry if I posted this in the wrong section...

ffdshow can decode those formats if you enable H.264 video and MP1/MP2/MP3 audio.

If you want to use a codec pack, then use only one. Don't use multiple.

Thx but could you tell me where to download those two since i want them installed on my computer so I could see if the stuttering stops. I messed around with ffdshow but the stuttering is still there (the Xvid and DivX coded Matroska had none of that but the MPEG coded one has it in spades).

Thx again

FFDshow Tryouts (http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/)

Should do the audio without changing settings, AVC will require going into "Video Codec Config" though.

AVC is tougher than Xvid to decode, and is often used with modern HD, so even tougher. Check your CPU usage, if it's topping out then you need more power. CoreAVC is better for dual core, but is not free.

VLC player doesn't need any codec so will play those files anyway, but is only as quick as FFDShow.
MPC will handle the audio internally and now in the newest builds the video as well.

I downloaded and installed the latest version of FFDShow and yet, the stutering is still there. CPU is not even at 50%. Can you tell me which libraries to use in audio and video though? I have no idea what every option means (some have 4-5).

Thx!

Try VLC too. If it works, your playback problems are probably caused by the previously installed codec packs.

What kind of a CPU do you have (single- or dualcore, speed) and can you tell us more about the video file (maybe upload a sample somewhere)?

Unfortunately those files appear to be being distributed by someone not licensed by the copyright owner, so you won't get any more help.

Rule 6.

If you need help with anime playback, go to the CCCP forums.
