Maybe there's a way to do this and I haven't found it, but it would be nice for those of us with less than 15 gigs free if there was an option for DVD2SVCD to delete the ripped VOB files when it's done with them. I still have yet to create a working SVCD with this program but it's not for lack of trying :)

how'd that be possible? .ac3 you can extract but the video extracted and the subsequent files created after that is a couple of gigs. The new version 1.0.6 will save you 2GB less spaces needed. No more 1GB wav files....yeepii iii eeh. DVDx program does this direct from the DVD-rom but it wears the hell outta your drive. I wouldn't recommend it. newegg has 40GB drives for $73 dude.

Spend a few more bucks and get this one at Newegg MAXTOR EIDE HARD DRIVE MODEL # 6L040J2 40GB 7200RPM or buy my used 14gb drive for $30. I have the Maxtor and it's a sweet drive. Fast and incredibly quiet. I am thinking about getting another one.
Actually I have converted movies with only 10gb's free. Of course Pearl Harbor took something like 20gb's to do.
Now if you are watching the process you could manually erase the VOB files once CCE is done. I would make sure not to erase the IFO file though. It's an open file in DVD2SVCD and I don't know what would happen if you did or even if you could.
I never erase the VOB files until after I have verified that I like the outcome of the encode. If you erase the VOB files and you need to redo something your pretty well screwed.
Make sure that Do not delete files is not checked. This will save space on the drive, but give you fewer options for Crash Recovery.

crash recovery doesn't work if the .ifo file is not found.

I already have a 100GB and a 40GB drive but they are full of movies right now, I deleted a couple to get 20Gb free but I did have the program crash because of running out of space the first few times I tried it. All I was looking for was for it to delete the VOB files when CCE is done with them which is what I do manually if I'm home to do it.

Until I get this program to work to turn them into SVCDs, no luck yet!
