Hi all,

Is there a tool available that would let me split x264 files that are bigger than a DL disc will carry.

I have a couple of files that are about 10 gig in size, I would like to be able to save them to disc rather than take up hard drive space.

TIA Wiggo

Are these files not in a container? The muxing programme for the container would be able to split into individual discrete (and rejoinable parts).

For instance with mkvmergeGUI, drag in the file (anything that has contents that will go into mkv, eg .264, mp4 or another mkv), head to the global tab and set up the split size. If you started with a .264 then the resulting pieces would be a fraction bigger than the original uncontained file.

If you really must save every byte, I don't know of a .264 splitter, but any binary splitter would work fine for storage.
