Hi
I've got a DVD I want to back up but DVD Shrink says its compressed as far as it will compress. It does no good to eleminate the menu or the extras. I'm using Rip-It-For-me. Is there a way to compress these files further?
TIA

Hi!
1) What is the Title and Region # of the DVD?
2) What is the combined filesize after ripping?
It does no good to eleminate the menu or the extras. This makes no sense...

Thanks for the reply Setarip_old,
The Title of the DVD is "Cartoons that Time Forgot:UB Iwerks Vol 1". It is a Region 1 Disc and the raw rip is about 7.81GB.
The total length of the video is 3:55:59. The compression bar is at minimum(all the way to the left) on menu, main movie and extras. Is there a program I can use to further increase the compression?

The total length of the video is 3:55:59.I've got to believe you're dealing with an already FULLY COMPRESSED DVD - whether original or "otherwise"...

Is there a way to go beyond "fully compressed"? This is an original.

Not that I know of.
Either burn to a D/L disc or split it and put it on to two discs.
You can use the OLD, ORIGINAL "DVDFab" (Not to be confused with any of Fengtao's offerings with similar names). You can obtain it at:

Thank-you setarip_old,
That did the trick. I have one other problem that you may be able to help me with. I have several childrens DVDs that run between 25 and 30 minutes. What I would like to do is copy a few of them to a single disc so that I don't have to change them so often. Is there a way?
TIA

If you can live without a menu, you can use (freeware) DVD Flick.
Other (commercial) alternatives include using the "Join" function of either DVD95CopyPro or DVD2One...

Thanks again setari[_old,
One more question if you will. Is it possible to convert NTSC discs to PAL, SECAM or DVB-T?
TIA

The SEARCH function here at the Doom9 Forum works extremely well (as does Google).
Do as search for "NTSC to PAL"...
