Hey is anyone running windows vista home prem., and having trouble with graphedit? When i try to insert direct show filters i get an error saying
direct sdk filter graph has stopped working

What can i do or check for?

ffdshow is updated to the latest version

If i click other filters i dont get that problem

Yea I had the same exact same problem a few days ago. Download ffdshow-rev1763_20080108_xxl verision.

You can find it here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941&package_id=214245

Thanks for some reason that didnt work either. Did you upgrade your frame network on vista?

Does it work with GraphStudio (http://blog.monogram.sk/janos/tools/monogram-graphstudio/)?

Does it help if you disable UAC.

Are you working on a regular user account? If so, test if it also fails under an administrator account.

Ok after doing search after search on google, the problem seems to be with the combined community codec pack. i uninstalled cccp, halli media spliter and ffdshow then re installed one at a time and when i install the cccp thats when i get the error

That's weird though cause I never downloaded cccp before and I had the same problem. Actually I got the problem again with ffdshow-rev1763_20080108_xxl verision again just a few days ago cause I uninstalled it. I ended up installing the one before any 2008 versions and it worked again.

I installed ffdshow_rev1817_20080126_clsid.exe the one here
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=173941&package_id=199416&release_id=439904

it works for me but my problem seemed to be the cccp. i did registered the proppage.dll from my graphedit folder as well

That's the thing, you installed cccp but I didn't and I had the same issue. I keep on trying to install the new updates but graphedit still crashes. Are you using Vista?
