Can anyone tell me how to burn mpg's and mp4's onto a dvd so that I can play it in my dvd player? I am fairly new to this so any patient advice would be appreciated.

Hi!
If your standalone DVD player can play either MPEGs or .MP4s directly, just burn them as a "data disc".
Otherwise, you can use (freeware) "DVD Flick to convert them to compliant DVD format...

Thanks, I downloaded it, tried it, and it wouldn't play. I think maybe my dvd player is too old (4 years). Thanks anyways.

Just curious to know if you tried playing the burned DVD on your PC - to determine if the burned DVD is playable at all?

Yeah, you should definitely try it on your computer...how else do you know for sure the version you downloaded would work at all?

I have never been able to play a dvd on my pc. I can play mpg's, mp4's, and avi's etc, but have never been able to play a dvd movie. How would I do that?

I use [spam removed], it can convert all popular video formats (AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, WMV, ASF, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, etc) to DVD and burn DVD movie played on portable and home DVD players, works like a charm
