I mentioned this in the Ubuntu topic, but I figure it could end up getting overlooked in there.
Basically, I've installed Ubuntu, have installed the latest mplayer SVN etc. I have video files with 5.1 AAC. In Windows, I can use either AC3filter or ffdshow to send these over SPDIF as AC3.
Does anyone know how I can achieve this in mplayer? I'm assuming ffdshow gets the code from ffmpeg anyway.
