After several borked installations with nLited (v1.4.1) XP Home SP2, I've decided not to bother with unattended installation. However, there is one option in nLite that I really need and that is to change the default location of the user profiles folder (C:\Documents and Settings) to a different partition.
I've tried doing it after Windows XP was installed and it was not pretty. Since my HDD failed again, this time I'd like to save myself the hassle of tweaking countless registry entries and changing the location prior to installation. I read somewhere that you'd need to add the following lines to the winnt.sif file:
[GuiUnattended]
ProfilesDir="Z:\whatever"
My question is, would it still work if I'm not doing an unattended install? If not, can anyone give me the nLite settings they used? My problem is when I create a New User with Administrator privileges, they get bumped down to Limited User and I am unable to log in to the Administrator account.
Thanks for the help in advance! :)
