Hey guys! I looked and looked and cannot find any clear answer. There seems to be lots of methods to do what I want but most involved degrading video quality or turning files inot MKV's.

I don't want to use haai or matroska in my system. Here's want I'm trying to do:

I've demuxed HDDVD titles in order to separate the dd+ tracks and turn them into ac3 (whatever can play through my S/PDIF) tracks.

Now I have the vc1 and new ac3 but what's the best way to combine these back into one file? I would llike to have this file unmodified from it's original quality and size and the format could be AVI,TS or whatever will work on the Windows Vista platform.

Just a note, I can replay the movie in media player classic just fine in "dub" mode. No sync issues at all and the picture actuallly looks better than playing though PowerDVD. But what I ultimately want is a file I can associate with WMP and play back through the Media Center.

:thanks: much!!!

Nobody will answer this because it violates forum rule 12.

Rule #12 seems segmented and a bit vague. In my particular post there is a definite answer because there is a definite conclusion.

Fortunately, I have figured it out but am still tweaking my method a bit.

It is, however, unfortunate that these "rules" seem to be having the effect of discouraging discourse instead of encouraging it. Maybe a little streamlining of them is in order?

The way I understand Rule 12 is this: don't ask what is the "best" or easiest method/way etc. because many replies will be forthcoming each with the "best" way. It is very subjective. Frame your question/title differently and you will get what you're looking for. :helpful:
