I am trying to encode a DVD backup on my hard drive to Divx using StaxRip but it doesn't recognize the audio format.

When I demux using DGIndex, I get an audio file that is in dts format. (When I play the vobs with nero, I get an error message saying it doesn't support dts neo:6, although the audio does play.) I also have PowerDVD 7 so the VIDEO_TS plays ok.

The problem is that none of the front end's (i.e. AutoGK, GK or StaxRip will recognize the audio format.

I was trying to convert it to mp3 but haven't found a way yet. I tried FooBar2000 and a few others but they don't recognize the dts file either.

I did get somewhere with besweet (through the gui) but it was taking about 2 hours just to encode 30 seconds of sound!

Can anyone help please?

Do you have the DTS plugin for foobar 2000?

Thanks mahsah. :)

I don't know the settings for foobar but after playing around for a while I managed to get an mp3.

Thanks again.
