Hi!

I have some ripped blu-ray movies and I'm trying to play the m2ts files that contain the main movie. I've had success with nero showtime4, and powerdvd on several of them, but some of them play in slow motion!!! Examples are Live free or let die and mr brooks. These movies play in slow motion in both powerdvd (as media file playback) and showtime4. These movies play fine in powerdvd if I load the whole bd folders.

Any ideas what it may be the problem? The strange thing is that they don't even play well if I load the m2ts main movie in powerdvd although the movie is more than fine.

Could be a BD+ issue?

:thanks:

Hi!

Perhaps a bit too obvious question but, do your original BluRay DVDs exhibit the same slow motion playback?

I think this may be a filter merit problem. The player you're using should be using the filters it was designed to work with. But what happenes (in file mode) is that the player will usually use the filters with the highest merit and that may cause these kinds of sync problems.

What you can do to trouble shoot is render the file in GRFEdit and see what filters your system is using to play back these files. First, reder a file you know works and then render the one you know doesn't and see what filter pops up as default.

At this point you'll have to lower the merit of the offending filter or uninstall that application altogether.

The real problem is that from VC-1 to mpeg-2 to FourCC and on and on, just because the file container says ".mt2" doesn't mean it will always use the same codec.

The real work around would be to re-encode all your high def files into a universal format and only use one player; a task easier said then doen :)
