how do I play raw videolan stream dumps?

I've discovered how to use videolan to dump raw streams coming in.

The problem is these are wmv/asf streams and there is no proper header on it, so nothing will understand/play it (not even videolan, ironically)

Is there any kind of tool out there that can fix this and add a header?
