I'm getting .50 FPS with x264 r712 on 2.8 Ghz P4 processor .

I'm encoding .m2t file captured from my SONY HDV camera , resolution 1440x1080. TDEINT Deinterlacing applied .

EDIT : Getting about 0.6 FPS with XVID

In addition i aplied asharp and Tweak filters in avisynth script .

Is this normal ?

A 2.8Ghz P4 isn't exactly fast, and I'm guessing you're using a slow encoding profile--why not use a faster one?

Use yadif deinterlacer. it's alot faster and gives better picture quality (no artifacts)

probably the deinterlacer is eating up MANY cpu clock cycles.
as sugested by Atak_Snajpera, use a faster deinterlacer like yadif and take out the sharpening filter.
