Hello,
I'm using Windows Media Player 11 to stream media content to my Xbox 360.
Until the 360 allowed Divx, I encoded some videos to H.264 with the MP4 file extension.
The videos play fine in Media Player 11 and on the Xbox if I copy them to an USB stick.
However, the MP4 filetype isn't recognized by the Media Player and therefore isn't added to the Media Library.
On the Video Playback FAQ (http://blogs.msdn.com/xboxteam/archive/2007/11/30/december-2007-video-playback-faq.aspx) in question #32 they suggest "Your first option is to install a 3rd party MP4 DirectShow decoder to import MPEG-4 part 2 and H.264 files into your library."
Now I have FFMPEG installed and tried the trial version of 3ivx.
None of these add MP4 files to the Library.
Does anyone know a DirectShow decoder, that adds MP4 files to the Media Library of WMP11?
