When I encode a full length DVD, how many cds do i need?

Do you guys usually need 3 cds?
Is this true? The reason why I am stucked at VCD is because I only need 2 cds.

You can use as little or as many cd's as you want. However quality will suffer greatly with lower bitrates. Look at the bitrate tab. In the third section there is the number of cd's to use. That can be changed, but if you lower it quality will suffer. For a 90 minute or less movie I can usually get good results on 2 80 minute cd's. Any longer and I need to use more. I just finished Pearl Harbor. I used 4 cd's for that and still removed most of the credits to save space.
