the shutdown procedure in my app (simple.frontend) works fine with all nt-kernel systems and win9x but it seems to fail with winme. i'm calling ExitWindowsEx the way it's described in the ms sdk. has any developer here integrated shutdown procedures in his app? does it work with winme? and if it works, how did you do it? seems like i get no reply in the borland newsgroups on this issue...

I have a program written for 9x that does a restart, and it still works on ME. I'll hunt down my source, and see what I did.

thx jemby,
i don't understand why it's not working... i use exitwindowsex like described in the ms sdk... the funny part: i tested it on an old wintendo98 hd-> working... i upgraded that hd to winME -> not working... i tested it on another win98 machine --> not working...

Use the same solution I used, look for a soft called winoff, it has command line options
