My megui always crashes when I try to load something.

I can't even load .d2v file to make avs or can't load my old .avs too.

Any idea? why?

here is the log file
MeGUI Version: 0.2.6.1039
OS used: Microsoft Windows Vista
.Net Framework installed: 2.0.50727.312

------------------------------------------------------

I downloaded this a few hrs ago, I uninstall everything thing that I already have to did a fresh re-install.

Someone pls give me an advice

EDIT
It's now working. For those who have problem like me? like can't load d2v file in the avs creator, you need to use an older version of MediaInfoWrapper.dll. 0.7.5.0 is having some issue.

So use MediaInfoWrapper.dll (0.7.4.4) (http://rs50.rapidshare.com/files/70652570/MediaInfoWrapper.rar)

Thx to the guy who posted this :D

thx

that is a know problem. a small search before posting would have driven you to the right forum thread which contains the solution.
however, i hope the next release will fix the problem.

should be fixed now. just update the megui libs package thru autoupdate.

hi, Sharktooth.

The new version doesn't fix it.

I still have that problem (the loading when creating avs) on megui 0.2.6.1043 (latest)

I think I might have to use that again cuz my .dll is now 0.7.5.5 :(

It doesn't work with the older one too.

Any help?

thanks.

did you have installed the last .net framework (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en) ?

Yes, it asked me to do it.

I installed .NET Framework 3.5 or something and it's like 36MB and I restarted my PC, then load the file to make avs, but no luck :\

Any more tips?
Btw, how do I check to make sure it's installed?

Any more tips?
any error message or something could be great...Plus, post your avs script.

Btw, how do I check to make sure it's installed?
check the first lines in the log...

check the first lines in the log...

I can't even load the .mkv clip so I was unable to write the avs.

Here is the errror it shows me:
http://i3.tinypic.com/7w5rbfc.png

My LOG tab:
MeGUI Version: 0.2.6.1043
OS used: Microsoft Windows Vista
Framework used: 2.0 SP1

It says, Framework 2.0 but I DID installed Framework 3.5 as recommended and it doesn't ask me anymore to update or to install the new Framework version on the startup.

I don't understand now, :S

Should I re-install Framework 3.5 from the link you posted above? Will it make any harm to my PC?

Thanks

I can't even load the .mkv clip so I was unable to write the avs.

did you have a matroska splitter installed ? (from Haali or from Gabest)...

I just tested a fresh compile on Vista and I've no problem for the avs creation. You have to install all directshow filters needed because this part relies on dshow (matroska files loading).

Even if you installed .net framework 3.5,i t says .net framework 2.0 since megui uses that version.
however .net 3.5 updates 2.0 to 2.0-SP1.

I have encoded many clips and I understand how to make or what I need but this, the loading problem happens again.

I have Haali (it's the little white box in the system tray) it appears and disappear right away when I load something but now that doesn't happen and doesn't even load anything :(

Do you have any idea? Sharktooth?

what i know is mediaindo 0.7.5.5 works on vista. the problem was in a bad binary we already replaced. so, it's no longer related to mediainfo.
try updating to a development build and see if something changes.

I updated it to the latest (development) which is 0.3.0.1004 and still no change.

Im not sure why, this is weird :\ My mediainfo is 0.7.5.5 and mediawrapper is 0.7.4.4 (I took it from my backup)

If can someone upload mediawrapper the version that 0.3.0.1004 will be much appreciated.

I want to try with the new one again.

Btw here is the screenshot of icons that appear during the load:

I think that is the matroska splitter Haai (what kurt was talking about) is that it? If yes, I don't know what I need.

Btw, I use AVC and CoreAAC from Media Player Classic when I play my clips but will that be any related with the ffdshow thing?

If I need to re-install ffdshow, please someone suggest me the one I should be getting cuz there are too many version :\

*EDIT*
I did a re-install and it still fails :\

Thanks a lot for reading.

Hi, i am having the same problem with megui when i try to create a avisynth script (same display as MKVCrazy but with AVI files).
used both mediainfowrapper and makes no difference!, checked on the event visualizer (my vista is in spanish so i kind of translate literaly and have some misspeling, so bear with me ;-) ) of vista and this is what it gave me:

Aplicación con errores megui.exe, versión 0.2.6.1043, marca de hora 0x475c19c8, módulo con errores ntdll.dll, versión 6.0.6000.16386, marca de tiempo 0x4549bdc9, código de excepción 0xc0000374, desplazamiento con errores 0x000af1c9, Id. de proceso 0x11f4, hora de inicio de la aplicación 0x01c83e80e77fbd85.

it mentions a ntdll.dll module that has errors and an exception code 0xc0000374.

this are the details shown:

can't reproduce this behaviour on my vista box. Are you sure that you have installed Avisynth first ?

Sharktooth
13th March 2008, 13:56
that was prior to the latest mediainfo update though.

This might be old news but Vista Servie Pack 1 seems to fixed the problem. I just tried it and the AVIsynth didn't crash.

No problem here.
Just try to run the program as admin even you are admin.
