Hi

Im trying to re-encode a 1080i EVO source (BBC Galapagos) to MP2 to stream to my xbox 360
But the script I normally use is for 1080p sources
Using the 1080p script - the audio drifts way out of sync
as it seems the encoder is receiving the video too slowly
My script is as follows:
DirectShowSource("G:\Galapagos.GRF",fps=23.976,audio=false)
This is then encoded with HCEnc 0.22 with pulldown

Can anyone advise on what I should be doing now this is a 1080i source instead of a 1080p source

I'm trying to do exactly the same thing and would greatly appreciate someone's input on this one.

BBC Galapagos HD DVD is 1080i @ 29.97 fps.

Are you saying the same script but with "fps=29.97" will work?

IMO much better will be: for 29.97 fps=30000/1001 or for 23.976 fps=24000/1001

hint
read AVISynth documentation.

fps=30000/1001 or 24000/1001 will not work. You have to have a decimal at the end of one of them: 30000./1001 or 30000/1001.

Otherwise you'll get 29fps or 23fps and totally screw it up.
