Ok I have been ripping my DVD collection to my hard drive for the last 3 years because I like to have it their to use my Media Center able to play them with out having to go into my attic to get the DVD I am Looking for...
Well the FBI broke down my door and handed me a court serve notice saying I had violated some federal law under the DMCA 2003...
I quickly refuted there clam saying that I was with in my fair-use rights and had not distributed one darn bit to anyone...
well long story short I am out on bail and need some advice...:(

Bummer! Firstly, how the bloody hell did the FBI know you were ripping the DVDs and trace you? I'm sure that's illegal and contravenes human rights laws in many places. Secondly, the only sensible advice I can offer is: hire a lawyer, quick, who can give the MPAA what they **** well deserve!

How could they have known?
I guess even in the US government agencies need some sort of evidence before they start knocking on your door for whatever reason. Unless you accidentally told an undercover agent or something, but I find that hard to believe...
Yeah hire a lawyer

You shouldn't have explained anything. What you tell Johnny Law can come back to bite you on the ass in trial.
First rule: Clam up and get a lawyer.

This doesn't pass the smell test. There must be something else involved. Ajax, what put you on their radar screen and what was the alleged violation? What have you been charged with?
The FBI does not break down doors for this kind of a charge.

Dito.
Well the FBI broke down my door and handed me a court serve notice
If they had a court order they wouldn't have to "break down" any door.
I had violated some federal law under the DMCA 2003
The FBI doesn't handle this kind of cases. And there is no "DMCA 2003". Also, the DMCA is an act which defines several criminal offenses, so the court order would state the actual offenses and not simply "DMCA".
well long story short I am out on bail
Even if the above were true, a violation of the DMCA won't get you apprehended, and certainly not associated with posting a bail.
My guess (and judging from past posts by the OP): This thread was simply created for inflammatory reasons, more specifically to feed various urban legends. I refer you to the "black helicopters" chapter.

Sorry been busy on the phone for the last 4 hours... Ugh
The notice stated that several times a week they had tracked my IP in unlawful activities...
Downloading mp3's and Miscellaneous Video's... The problem is I don't have any of the Videos/Songs I am suspected to have downloaded either on my Hard Drive or on any CD/DVD's
They compensated my External and my Desktop and after analysing the data they came up short...
yeah No data no prob...
So right now I am in limbo as to what to do next I have my cousin working on the case hes a hard ass from Las-Vegas...
I have never broken a law in my life and second I had to have my phone service provider set my I-net up....
I can't network worth the crap...
Me my self I have a wireless router that I use for my Notebook... I couldn't ever get the wep or what ever to work so its been insecure for since I got it...
So they are checking sub IP's on my router to see if it came from an outside source...
I have a court date set for Monday next week... They still want to talk about me bypassing the DRM on those god damn wma media files and the DVD's I have ripped... My cousin said that if they found them after the fact then it will probably be just a swat on the wrist and my sig on a waver stating that I will never do that again...
I am sorry for the passive info I gave earlier I was and still am Crapping Bricks... And no they didn't Bust my door down I use it as a stressed figure of speech Sorry for that... I woke to them knocking and hand cuffs clanging...
I can remember what exactly was said about the DMCA... it was just one of entire plethora of things that they kept saying... I was half asleep... But I believe the word they used were that I had violated it...

I'd file a counter DMCA claim against them then
can't say much else without more info
I had one cop on the street tell me he could just take my laptop and tear it apart looking for 'illegal data'
long story short he was doing parking metre duty for a few weeks...

Oh, this is bizarre...
What specific offense(s) are you being charged with? Criminal or civil? Or were you asleep during that part, too? Just read us what is written on your court summons...

I don't believe any of this. Post a scan of your summons or other hard proof, or I will delete the thread since fairy tales are off-topic.
