can someone show me how to cut out parts of the video using Adobe Premier CS 3 please.

like I have a video:

12345678910111213141516171819

I want to cut out 891 and 1617 etc....
but want the video to be in one file when I am done with cutting out parts.
No effects needed, just cut out parts.

Total Noob to this and on a deadline from hell.

Any Help is GREATLY and MUCH APPReciated.

just hit your C key, this will give you the razor tool, chop it up where you want to chop it up, then press the V key to get your arrow tool back and you can move the clips around or select and delete unwanted parts.

after you have all the clips you want, just make sure they are all placed end to end...you can do this by right-clicking in the space between two clips and clicking "ripple delete"...this will move everything left, flush against your last clip...just do that for all the unwanted gaps in your timeline.

then, click file, export, movie....(to export all as one file to AVI)
or click file, export, export to DVD (to encode and burn it to a DVD as a single video)

ok, now that we got that out of the way, how do I just delete the audio without deleting the video ?

another cut-out method is to:
position the head on in point, then ctrl+k
position the head on out point, then ctrl+k
select the part that is going to be deleted, then shift+del

to remove the audio:
right click on the clip in timeline, select 'unlink'
select the audio and del
