Hi, i am quite a newbie at this area
i am using dvd2svcd software which is to my opinion absolutley amazing, does for me everything.
but when i play the movie in my dvd player (hyundai), in fast mosion scene or when human figures move a little fast on the screen they are getting distorted.
it looks like the effect of the matrix scene of neo fighting morpheus, looks also like the body that moves fast leaving sort of jumping trails.
anyone got the idea what i mean ??? ;)

the same movie plays great on a computer with powerDVD
so maybe it has somthing to do with special settings in the CCE ?
pleeeease help

Chances are it's your DVD player. Take a look at the DVD player list at www.vcdhelp.com and make sure to read the comments on your player. You will need to know the model number.
If the list says you should be able to play SVCD's fine then post what bitrates were used in CCE. You can find that in your DVD2SVCD log file. It will be 3 entries 1 on top of the other.

that site is unavailable at this moment. Surely it reachs its dayly limit of access, and will be available again tomorrow. You can use the translation tool available in www.altavista.com to surf in that page.
Anyway, there you can get an advice to use smartdeinterlace with some special settings. I cannot help you in this issue, because I don't have any experience using it. mb1, the author of that page, can be found usually in CCE forum. Try to send a PM to him.

mozart your advice was correct, it did had to do with de-interlacing, improved the picture greatly.
i used "blend" in de-interlace and it solved my problem
however i would like to know ehat to do with the smart de-interlacing and i can't PM mb1
he doesn't have that button in his posts.
do u know how i can reach him ?

no, I don't. However, you can try posting in CCE forum, with a subject "@mb1: deinterlace questions" or something like that. Good luck.
