I apparently need the above file (quicktimempeg2.qtx) so's quicktimealt will work with streamclip so's I can edit some mpg files I've got.
Why am I doing this? Because I need to join a couple of dissimilar mpg files preparatory to burning to dvd.
How dissimilar? I don't know. I just assume it because putting them on the same dvd with dvdstyler and burning with imgburn gives me a dvd with one file that has no sound (whereas burned alone it has sound okay).
Why tell you all this? Because I'm such a novice that I could well be choosing the hardest possible route without knowing it.
Please tell me if there's a better way, in the Open Source or freeware camps.
