Hello to all of you that the "lucky" ones with CCE crashes.
Maybe this will work for all of you. It works fine with me and the CCE crashes increases a lot.
My settings of DVD2SVCD.
At the AUDIO tab take this settings:
* Audio bitrate at 224 kb/s
* Downsample 48.000 to 44.100 and use quality High
* Check "Autodetect Azid Gain"
At the BITRATE tab take this settings:
* Take the bitrates to default and change all the CD-sizes 740 and 800 to one size. I used 790.
* Check the "Adjust the audio bitrate....."
* Don't check "Min. avg 1600"
At the CCE tab take this settings:
* Check "Multi Pass VBR 4"
* Leave the rest to default
I hope this will work for you as fine as it works for me.
By the way: I used DVD2SVCD 1.0.5 build 2
Please let me know if it works.

CCE has absolutely nothing to do with audio.
It is all done with other software.
There is no way the audio settings can affect the way CCE encodes.
The only thing that changing the cd size and audio bitrate as far as CCE is concerened is that DVD2SVCD adjusts the average bitrate to make it fit the number of cd's asked for.
I do not think anything you mentioned can possibly help.

Hello Mark,
I assume you can look in the future! The only thing I do is to help people that have the same problem as I had. This are the settings I use to converted. I didn't say audio causes CCE craches.

You use normal settings. I had CCE-problems with settings like this. If it works for you, it's ok, but this won't help others, because you changed nothing special concerning CCE.
I thank you for trying to help, but i don't think this will solve any problem.
Did you ever had CCE crash/hanging? Did you manage to encode the _same movie_ with your posted settings?

just two points:
1) my English is very poor, also. However, this is not reason to write a word which is exactly the opposite of our aim. Grammathical mistake has nothing to do with what you did;
2) you are posting almost the default setting. If such settings were source of problems, why should be default? ;)
