Can anyone tell me why the two default choices for CD size are 740 and 800? Can you buy 800MB CDRs now? I tried overburning a 740 on a 700MB CDR and it screwed upt he end of the file, so I've changed them all to 699 now.

A 74min CD can hold around 740MB and an 80min CD can hold 800MB for SVCDs. You need to ensure that you either burn the iso or use the SCVD format in Nero (or similar) to achieve this. The greater size is achieved through the SVCD format which I think doesn't use the space that a regular CD uses for FAT etc. Note: you can not simply copy the mpg file to the CD, it must be SVCD format CD.

Thanks, maybe it's the bin files that the prgram makes that are broken, I'll try just having it make mpegs and use Nero and see how that works out.

DVDhack is quite correct in what he says.
however it might be worth noting that you can also use 90min cdrs if you recorder supports Dao overburning!
just change the disk size to 900 & watch the bitrate go up.

Actualy a 80min-CDR can hold 797,7MB of SVCD-data, all above is overburning, which some older burners doesn't support. If you want to stay on the safe side you have to chose a size <=797, I use 795 to prevent overburning.

@tankdog
there are a lot of things in "newbies faq" thread that you should read. Take a look at there. Don't back to post here before to do this. OK?
