trying to re-encode ntsc movie with dvd2avi to cce 2.62
video is great. smooth and sharp. had problems remuxing re-encoded video back into vobs(as everyone seems to be having).

Open up ifoedit .8, vob extras, and clicked remux, strip streams, rebuild PTS, correct vob-units, remove P-uops, correct ifo tables.

Did not check: strip vobID's and create new ifos.

open up powerdvd xp, and in 'open dvd file on disk' mode, says 'This dvd's title file format is invalid. Open the first vob in file mode, and starts out fine. but then, as time goes on, video starts to screw up, playing like 2-3 frames a sec, with the audio uninterupted. try opening up the other vobs. same video is not working.

I have read that version .8 had addressed the audio/cce sync issue, and have not heard anyone confirm this.

I'm sorry, but it's not working yet for other tools then ReMPEG2.

It may work with CCE only in few cases, where you produce a GOP structure, that is identical to the original mpeg-file. This requires that the original movie also has a constant GOP structure.

So you still have to wait for a new release of IfoEdit.

Thanks Derrow for your response. You are our savior. Is there any program that will tell you the GOP structure, whether its constant or not?

I don't think so.
But if you open a vob or m2v file with ReMPEG2, it will display you in a log-window, how the GOP's are looking.
