View Full Version : How do you turn 2 DVD titles into 1?

I recorded loads of my old 6hr VHS tapes on my DVD/HDD unit (in XP mode to preserve quality) I was forced to split my 24GB recordings onto 4-5 DVD's before ripping them onto my computer. The computer and my multimedia hard drive leave a gap between the multiple titles that were created, even if they're played from within the same folder (I want them to play with no gaps at all otherwise it's very annoying).
What software can I use to add the vobs from titles 2-6 into title 1 so that extra info is effectively added into the IFO file of title 1.
IN OTHER WORDS I WOULD LIKE ALL THE VOB FILES TO APPEAR UNDER ONE, NOT SIX TITLES.
It must be possible because my DVD/HDD unit only divides titles after 8hrs (otherwise I'll accept two 3hr titles).

Hi-

What if you open the VOBs all at once in DGIndex, use the [ and ] buttons if necessary to isolate the parts you want to keep, and then go File->Save Project File and Demux Video? That will give you a single M2V and whatever audio is in there, ready for authoring as a single title.

Another way would be to demux the various VOBs and add in the various parts one after the other to Muxman when authoring.

Both methods require reauthoring. I think that's necessary anyway, because from what you're saying, I gather these things aren't split already into 1 GB pieces.
