I use spdif out audio to a surround receiver. This is the ONLY audio-out connection.
I use DigiTV which is the software for our Nebula digital TV USB tuner.
I use MediaPlayerCLASSIC rather than DiGiTV's player to avoid known common sync problems with the latter.
Used alone, either MPClassic or DigiTV work fine.
I should be able to use both at the same time, with no restrictions, as other Nebula owners report.
My system uses an AMD64X2 3800+ etc. Video card is a 6600 NVidia. I use a dedicated sound card (Creative Audigy Value) but the onboard Realtek/nVidia had the same limitation explained below.
Whichever of MPC or Digitv I launch first hijacks the audio or video of the one
launched second, as follows:-
Launching MPC first hijacks the video and audio of DigiTV so I can't check it is working properly before doing broadcast recordings. If I cross fingers and make a recording, it usually turns out ok with both the video and audio.
If spdif is selected to output from DigiTV, launching it first all is ok, but then launching MPC gives an error message "AC3 Audiodecoder :: Out". Close the message and the video appears but its AUDIO is hijacked completely
If spdif is DE-selected from DigiTV, launching it gives video ok but only 2 channel audio. (I repeat that spdif is my ONLY audio out connection.)
Then launching MPClassic next, its video appears with no error message and I hear audio from BOTH players at the same time. The audio from MPC is also only 2-channel. I can mute either to hear the audio I want, but it remains only stereo.
I have posted to the DigiTV forum but drawn a blank.
Any help making these two get along with each other appreciated.
