View Full Version : 1.0.5 build 4 problem.

I have had the following problem twice now with 1.0.5 build 4. It finishes the audio conversion process but does not start CCE. When doing a crash recovery, the last option is 'audio processing', so I have to go through that stage again. CCE then starts normally.

This has happened to me two times out of four tries with this build.

Try to install it again. Maybe that will work! I did use 1.0.5 build 4 but there is something wrong with. I had the movie Just Visiting and it crashes in CCE 2x at 74 %. Now I use 1.0.5 build 2 and the movie converted in one step. So maybe you can try this version. It works fine with me. But 1.0.5 build 4 sucks! Thats my opinion of this version.

But the author of DVD2SVCD does his best.

Is there any error or does it just not start?
Are you running anything else at the time?
Did you minimize DVD2SVCD or change the process priorities?

It probably won't work, but next time before you start DVD2SVCD manually start CCE and then close it. If it works fine in DVD2SVCD don't open it before future encodes and see if the issue goes away.

Another one unlikely, but worth a try. In DVD2SVCD under the CCE tab re-browse and select the CCE executable file.

If I think of more things to try I will post them,

Mark

There was no error, it just did not start.. DVD2SVCD is just sitting there... (tried it again last night and it worked this time, so it's definately intermittant).

Was not running anything else at the same time

First time I minimised DVD2SVCD to SYSTRAY. Second time I just had it sitting up on the desktop.

Aloha,

I've been meaning to post on this issue also but haven't had the time.

I have the same problem with the 1.05 build 4 and CCE not starting. My prob happens every time I encode.

I tried the things markrb suggested...thanks for the ideas...but no luck.

The good news is that it doesn't screw up the encoding process...I just have to manually hit the '"encode" button ("convertir" for some) and the rest of the process works great.

It is a little annoying to not be able to start and encode and go to bed so any workarounds would be great.

I'm running under XP and there are no other processes running when this occurs....

If it is still a problem try downloading the 1.06 beta and see if that solves your issue.
Here is the link http://212.88.77.140/dvd2SVCD_1.0.6_Setup-Build_1-Pre_7.exe
It is a beta and I don't know if there are any new issues.
If you are not comfortable with a beta rumor is the release of the full version is just around the corner, but I am not the author and have no first hand knowledge of this.

Man, I've been so busy I haven't had time to look into my problem with CCE not starting up...

Tonight I had some time...turns out that ditching my Spanish version of CCE for the regular one solved the problem entirely.

CCE now starts as it should!!!

So simple when you have a little time...hope this helps you Dropbear.

PS-if you do have the spanish ver and need a fully fuctioning reg version...check out the cce fourm for a way to attain it...

Aloha,

SG

Soljah! Cheers, I'll give it a go and see if it helps ..

I had one more incident over the weekend of CCE not starting (after starting DVD2SVCD and then going to bed!), it's very annoying!

I'll also give the pre-release of 1.0.6 a go, however I feel like if I spend any more time on the bleeding egde, I'll get a blood nose!

it seems the 'spanish' version is a lot more prevalent than most people think Soljah Girl, especially if your pointing me towards the 'TRY ME' version...

if you like, could you P.M me with your email addy or something so I can figure out a real way of getting a version of CCE that starts!

Cheers
