First of all, a BIG HUGE BOOOOO to having to wait 5 days before posting anything.
Second, apologies if this has been posted in the wrong Forum.
Third, I did a search before posting this, but the search terms were a bit generic.
Anyway, I downloaded a TV show from a couple years ago and would like to put it on DVD, but the genius who encoded the AVI did so at 704x288. What the heck kinda aspect ratio is this? Google results tend to indicate this is fairly common, though I'm still baffled.
The codec he used crashes Ulead Media Studio Pro, so I can't make a new MPG with the proper aspect ratio. AVS Video Converter made a new file with the size I THOUGHT I wanted, then I discovered the video I thought was 16x9 actually used square pixels, so the result on the DVD was stretched.
Do you know of any programs that create DVDs from AVIs but actually give the option of fixing retarded aspect ratios?
:thanks:
