View Full Version : Promlem installing Windows XP Home

Hi,
I really need some help, i am installing XP home, all goes well untill i get to the bit where you need to press f8 to agree to the licence agreement, and it wont work i keep pressing f8 and nothing happens, every other button works page up and page down etc etc!!

please can you help me as i have no idea whar is going on.

this problem happen before when i build the computer, so i thought it was a hardware problem so got a new motherboard now i come to install windows again and it does the same thing!!

simple and obvious question but have you tried a different keyboard?

thanks, i have and it worked, strange tho as some of the buttons on the keyboard were working!!

ahh well never mind, thanks for the help...

I've seen this before - typically with USB keyboards on older systems. I've had to switch to a different USB keyboard or connect a PS/2 keyboard. Very strange :)

I had to do that when installing solaris 10 sometimes
