careful with the imminent deadlines :
" August, 26 Deadline for receipt of a H.264 codec with required presets
September, 10 Deadline for settling technical problems with codec’s functioning
November, 7 Draft version of report that will be sent to all participants
November, 14 Deadline for reception of comments to the draft
December, 15 Comparison report release"
These guys have a tendency to do real & solid testing & thorough reporting. I'd love to know how 0.56.680 has improved, over last year's version.
