dont you think that transformers (2007) is well too dark?
I use a beamer, and I can not see anything, and I'm not talking about night scenes!

i remember seeing it in the cinema and it had the typical "crushed blacks" look that is quite popular today, but the daylight scenes seemed fine.
of course, labs tend to make distribution prints brighter to make up for cheaper lamps in cinemas, so i might have seen a bit more than what's on the DVD.

I don't think is about darkness. For me is looking like somebody took a camera, put the white balance on auto and recorded it.
enjoy,

check on utube, this movie is too dark!
when looking at this movie, after 1 hour, my eyes were so tired to focus on the bright scenes to see what was happening.
I haven't seen it in a movie theater, but if you buy the DVD and use it with a beamer, be sure your beamer push enough light from the box cuz with my benq 6100, it is horribly too dark.
on my old cathode TV it is not better!
when increasing the bright level, it s crap!
we should have called this movie "Black"...

It's a shame if it's true, cos it was one of the movies of the year IMHO.
