I have loads and loads of 5-6hr home made videos which are fairly low quality (and according to my compressibility analyzer) has a very low compressibility factor, which turns out to be true. My Samsung DVD-R149 DVD recorder can almost replicate the quality when using it's best setting, but the final results come out around the 20Gb mark.
Can anyone give me some suggestions as to how I can either use the filters (e.g RemoveNoiseMc) with AVIsynth to alter the recording afterwards, or perhaps suggest a capture card (preferably one whereby the input quality isn't reduced before reaching the computer (like my Kworld VS-USB2800D). I would also really like to lower the bitrate if possible, but without loosing too much quality. If there are any special setting to use with dixv or xvid then that would also help.
