Hi

I'm having a problem with a particular divx file losing sound sync when converting it to VCD compliant mpg.

I've done this many times already and am only having problems with this particular divx file. (I have a feeling it could be to do with low fps in this particular divx)

I'm using Panasonic Encoder over TMPGenc as i can add borders with Panasonic.

If anyone has any ideas how i can fix this it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Can you re-sync using bbMPEG or TMPGenc (i.e. demux and re-mux)?

You might need to decompress the sound (to wav)

I tried doing that, but it didn't seem to work.

The resultant mpeg didnt play.

:(

The problem happens when i'm using panasonic to encode a divx to a vcd compliant mpeg. It only happens because the divx has a lower framerate than 24fps which is what ntsc film fps is.

Tmpgenc works fine, but unforunately i cant add borders all the way around the mpeg (i do this because of TV overlay) so i'm still mucking around with this problem. At the moment the only way i can do this is to use tempgenc than panasonic, but that's not exactly the best solution.

Thanks for the help

1- What's the framerate ?
2- You can add borders with tmpeg, choose "user defined" in the resize pulldown menu and enter the resize value you computed.
