.mkv blueray file slow on my computer

I tried it on my new computer as well and it still stutters every 5 sec
Trying to play it with vlc play..very slow
This is the file
Ghost_in_the_Shell_(1995)_[720p,BluRay,x264,DTS-ES]
and this one too
Beyond_the_clouds,_the_promised_place_(2004)[1080p,HDTV,x264]_-_THORA.mkv

any ideas on which codec can watch is smoothly/
