View Full Version : Mutli-thread replacement for BeSweet?

Hi,
I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, I have searched the forum without finding anything...

I use GK (not Auto) to encode my Xvids. I have a core2duo (E6600) and GK/Xvid seem to make pretty good use of multi-threading. However the initial extraction of the audio from my mpeg (or ts) source by BeSweet only uses one thread, this slows down the overall encoding time, sometimes quite considerably.

So my question...
Is there a multi-threaded version of BESweet? (Googling seems to indicate "no")
Is there something else that I can use instead of BeSweet to do the job? If so, what are the settings/scripts needed to integrate it into GK?

Finally one slightly off-subject question: Is it worth looking a GKmod? Is it stable?

Cheers and many thanks inadvance from a forum n00b.

look at SoundOut Plugin

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=120025

it's a very good base for a audio framework... and internal audio codec are multithreaded :)
