i got a some 1080p H264 movies and want to resize to 720p. What a good way to do this. I know how to do this with VC-1, but not with H264.

Any help, thank you

You'd want a Spline36 resize to 1280x720, in AviSynth.
Then compress again in x264.

This sounds like it should be in AviSynth usage?

Once you get it into avisynth, video is just video for the most part. If you're having any difficulties getting it in, ffmpegsource has good mkv support, or there's a lot of threads about extracting/remuxing evo in the containers forum.
